Just a quick post ... I'll be gone for a few days, then it's back to work O_o My MD broke today :\ well ... it still plays MDs, but it can't record anymore .... >_< wasted 2.5 hrs recording in LP2 only to find that the MD recognised as 'BLANKDISC' ;_; Oh well ...

Haven't posted here for a long time .. if it wasn't for Pang's adventures this would be pretty quiet blog :)

Hrmm, what did we do lately ... actually, just recently (most) of the boys went out for dinner in NB - me, Dave, Chu, Ben, Tuyen, Dang, his bro and Gabs. The food was ok I guess, nothing special .... actually pretty sick of Billy Lees :p Then we went to Gelares for a while ... then we all went to Music Space. I been going there quite abit lately because Ed and Ben are working there ... stayed that nite until so late >_< then had to work the next day, eep >_< Last day before Christmas (it was Christmas Eve), so the boss said that ppl usually leave at lunchtime ... so woohoo !! I leave at lunchtime and get some sleep :)

Going to Melbourne soon~ I hope New Years will be good >_<

Karaoke Weekend

I can't really be bothered typing too much. Same stuff as usual... work. :( Went to Musicscape until 4AM yesterday night. It was pretty fun, even though it was just a small group of us. :D Funny thing is that we're going again tonight, except I'll be bringing along my girlfriend too... don't think I'll be taking any Vodka's either. More people will also be there too, but I don't really know them. Last night reminded me how gross shots taste... but still all good afterwards! :P I still prefer a good beer, over hardcore mixes though...

Matrix ending was so anti-climatic.... ! >:( A bit of a disappointment, but I think maybe they had high expections...

quiet week ??

I don't really know what to say because this week was pretty quiet :p Just been working and stuff ... apart from Matrix on Monday didn't really do anything. Actually, on Wednesday nite went to Kim Chan's house for a party .. because he's going on world tour what a lucky ! :P It wasn't too bad, me and Kim (Tran :) were thinking that we wouldn't know anyone ... but Kim's friends are all friendly haha :) Played mahjong on the floor until my back couldn't take it anymore ... then they were playing Pictionary but we went home because I was too sleepy.

Yesterday was my birthday :p woohoo~

Me and Steven just watched Matrix Revolutions ... we were abit dissapointed, somehow it just went downhill from the first one .. didn't help that I needed to go to the toilet for the second half of the movie :) One more week until marks come out ... x_x

Shortish post

Internet is soooo slow... Globaldial has been very bad lately. Even now I am typing this in a text editor (Vim power!), while waiting for Add Blog page to load. -_- Really need to submit my application form for ADSL, soon.

Today, I gotta go to uni and do some more work for the Centre for Water Research... haven't done any for about two weeks now. :D Since I have to go soon, I will be unable to grace you with my *INTERESTING* posts! ;-) Like a friend of mine once said, once you already have a girlfriend, you don't need to care anymore. :D

I went to coffee with Ray on Friday, too. Adeline was meant to come, but she bailed in last minute. :( I was a bit sad. And I think everyone else was too. :P But I saw her the next day, and going out with her again tonight. :)) Anyway, being the smart one, I got Hot Chocolate vs a real caffeine alternative. So after I played Neverwinter Nights a bit afterwards, I went to
sleep nice and sound. :P

Was meant to go to Karaoke last night with them again too, but I was a bit lazy. I'm sure no one really minded. Noone called me... and they can't anyway (since my mobile dissed) hahahaha. :D

Hi hi !!!!

:) Weekend is fun !!! After even only one week of work, already thankful for the weekend ... gee, just like im back in highschool :)

On Friday I was really tired .. >_< At work I won a beach towel O_o Because we had a safety quiz thing ... our table won, and so I won a prize !! Not bad, since I didn't know most of the answers to the questions ehheh ;) But I guess I'm ready to go to the beach now :p I like the beach but haven't been for a long long time :\ Maybe sometime soon. Anyway, after work I was so tired so I had a nap ... then rushed to the new shopping centre on Wellington st ... it seems ok, but didn't really get a chance to look inside the stores ? Maybe next weekend or so, I need to buy some stuff >_< After that we went to Valentino's for coffee, I shouldn't have drank coffee x_x It took me so long to get to sleep that nite !!! I think I'm going to stop drinking coffee, I can't take it at all :) Then I went to Sherman's place to play Naruto .. heheh not bad :)

Today we woke up late ... went to the gym and ... OMG I am tired now ... I want to go to sleep, but I think if I do, my arms will start hurting ALOT .. dun want that, so I'll just sit around for now :p Damn, but it was kindof fun ;) Even though I know that I'll be hurting tomorrow ...

Tonite we're going to karaoke (hopefully) ... usually we're so unorganised, but this time we booked in advance and everything :p I dun really mind either way, but I just feel like drinking, so bored !!! Next week getting paid~ :D Then can buy some stuff, woohoo !!

Next week is my bday O_o I wonder what to do ...

yeah holidays getting boring and stuff.. coz im too lazy to work! hehehe :D soon i'll b going to singapore to chill! and.. buy stuff.. and.. look at girls.. the past few days i have not graced the internet with my presence coz i was down south on family vacation. im sure you all missed me heaps. it was the typical boring family stuff you know like "oh nice views" and "look at the cows" stuff and sleeping in hotels with crappy food. my parents friend came with his family so we have to take them cruising around WA and stuff! the only good thing about the whole vacation thing was that one of the daughters of that family is a mega hotty!! so yeah had something good to look at... too bad i dont have a digital camera :p

thats about it.. back to a few more days of sitting around doing nothing

I dun really have much to say, because I been at work all the time ... I dun have any 'funny' stores like Steven either :p But Pang, you shouldn't be surprised ... I've seen Steven do rm -rf on important stuff on more than one occasion, he is just delete happy :)

I've been listening to new music lately !! Not really new ... but I got it from Hansen just recently :) Hmm, I like it though .. DMX - Grand Champion is alrite, I quite like Hyolee 1, and Lee Soo Young 5 :) Oh, and Bad Boys 2 OST has some nice songs. I may get around to watching it later on, I have the dodgy VCD ... heheh.

Went to uni to get some books today, 3 big boys :p From MPSL ... it feels like forever I haven't been back to uni, so weird !!! I hope I dun have to go back for a while :\ So far away .. and I got caught in 5:30 traffic, that sucked -_- But when I got home, I dun really have anything to do .. kindof boring :\ So I just watched TV and stuff.

Oh, I got another album, DEEN best album ... it is alrite, but not as good as I expected crap >_< I have one of their old song from long long time ago, but their new ones not as good. Meh, what can you expect -_- Need to get around to see Matrix as well, everyone's seen it except me and Steven :) I think Hansen is gone already ... hasn't come on IRC for so long, where is he ? Maybe we can watch Matrix next week, it'll be cheap during the week O_o

I had a flashback of first year uni when coming home from uni, weird ? Haven't thought about it for a while :P

Oh !!! I previewed the post and forgot about the title. I'm sick of Google lately ... because I always have it open >_< Searching for VB stuff all the time, in the end I'm seeing the same sites over and over ... Google is good, but I think VB is just crappy :( Anyway, I'm sick of looking at the Google results page and loading up windows blah blah blah ... that's why I got the books from uni :P That should be interesting for a few days ... I can be super super nerd >_<

Had lunch at garbo today, had some hor fun that took AGES to come .... and it was so exp !! $9.50 wtf .. it was alrite I guess, but not what I expected :\ Mite try and bring lunch with me from now on, if I could be bothered .. probably not :)

Ahh, I just got 1tym 4 - Once N 4 All. What a retarded name :P But it's not too bad, typical 1tym stuff that they've been doing for the last 3 albums :) I dun know how they can sound the same for every song .... I'll listen to it some more, see if it's any good. I have Brown Eyed Soul 1 somewhere, I'll see if I can be bothered to get it to my machine so I can listen to it. I hope it's good :p

That was a pretty stupid post about music ... I'll post more about it when I get some better music :p Right now I want to look for some wallpapers .. !!

Tired

Been so tiring lately... full-time work really sucks. No time to do anything! Saturdays is gay because everything is closed. :( I think when I graduate, I want a job wear I just work four, or maybe three, days a week. :D Or maybe I can be a manager and just come in whenever I want.

Today I made little mistake at work. I ran this script, and then closed it midway when I realised it didn't do what I want. But the script had already deleted all the "release" files already. Not sure if anyone actually used them... only one person was really affected, and it didn't even bother him that much. No one else seemed to notice :)

The other guy fixed it... but I didn't know and I deleted it again later on in the day, when I ran the script by accident. :P He tried e-mailing me, but stupid Ximian Evolution crashed or something so it wasn't receiving mail properly (yet everything else in it worked... so couldn't tell it crashed!!). So in the end, that guy had to call the person in my next cubicle, who then had to search for me around office because I was chatting with a friend in another cubicle. :P Around this time,
there was also this other bigger problem that occured, where no one could build anything... I was afraid that maybe it was me (since I was messing/learning their build system), but luckily it wasn't... phew -_-

Since then, I upgraded my Ximian Evolution to the latest stable release (v1.4). Not sure I really like Redhat 9 that much. Either it's Redhat, or the previous owner's messing around, but everytime I shutdown, it doesn't unmount the NFS /home directory properly, and I get stupid "you are currently logged in" errors when I log in the next day.

When I first came in, I wanted to reformat and install Linux again. But then I decided to just try "fix" it on the spot.... Linux is better than Windows in that respect. I can know pretty much where every file came from (thanks to package management) so can clean it up good.

Hmm... but not sure if I'll be able to figure out this /home problem... I guess I haven't really looked into it properly... fix it tomorrow, I guess.

My computer is kind of slow too... initially I thought it was fast enough (P3-800... or P2, I dunno), but I was doing some compiling today, and it was really chugging. -_- I think it has too little RAM (256MB), rather than the actual CPU speed. Maybe I can find another 256MB stick somewhere. :P

Pang sounds like he's having fun :P Me on the other hand .. started working today :) Actually, I made a mistake at the start, they told me to go to this induction .. MARCSTA or something. Anyway, that was a weird mining safety thing ... I was so bored >_< Luckily work rang them up and asked me to go to Booragoon.

Just got home abit before (about 5pm) .. it was quite a long day. I nearly fell asleep :)

Hmm .. I dunno what to say about the work ... it is more interesting than I expected. But I think the project I have to do will be difficult ... :\ Anyone know about MS Access ?? ;) I think I'll have to use VB too, bleh ... I forgot how much I hate VB until I saw some code >_< I'll check it out though, I want to use Eclipse and Java :) Mmmm ... my computer at work is so shitty too !! Oh well ...

Nothing else much happening ... went clubbing on Friday, got kindof drunk. Went to coffee first at Valentinos ... actually had tea :) And some desserts ... it was alrite, haven't been to coffee or stuff like that for along time now. After clubbing, came home ... played abit of NFS, then slept. Worked on Saturday x_x I hate market research ... not going to work there for a while now. After that, went to some karate bbq with Sherman, it was fun. Then we went to Pang's to say goodbye :P He is so shit at packing !! But then we went to Sherman's place, just hung around ... went home about 3:30, sooooo tired ... fell unconscious in bed ..

Been having fun lately :) Like Pang said, the dinner on Tuesday was good ... but we were abit late :) And apart from the fact it was expensive as hell ... we all had a good time :) I have some pics, but they are oldschool (ie, I need to develop them first); I'll figure out where to upload some pics.

Wednesday (yesterday) was James' going away bbq, was quite good except for a big excess of food :p And also, it's hard to eat steaks with plastic knives and forks ... !! We went to Kings Park ... heaps of ppl came to bbq, fun !! Haven't had a big bbq like this since 2 yrs ago in first year :p

Then ... last nite we went to Karaoke. The night started off kindof stupid because we didn't know what was happening ... we were going to go to Chorus Club, but all the rooms were full. At the time I was like wtf ... I asked her 'can we have a room for 12 people ?' and she says 'no.' .. I was like, do you want our business or not ...

Anyway, in the end we ended up going to Seoul Karaoke on Aberdeen st, haven't been there for AGES O_o It was better than I expected too :) Started off abit slow .. but got fun once we pulled out the bottle of Johnny Walker ;) I couldn't drink that much because I was driving, but drank enough for fun ! :) Then we went to eat supper ... ended up getting home at 4am. Then played Need for Speed Underground until 6am O_o Didn't notice the time ..

Stuff should be slowing down soon once everyone goes -_- At least the money will be safe ;)

Finally got admin access... Blogspot a bit slow to update settings. -_- I then messed about with templates a bit, screwed up colours, and now can't change it back because it being slow to update again. :P

I'm really looking forward to starting work on Monday (1st Dec), but .... somehow I will miss having 3 months of boring holidays :) I guess there is nothing much that I'll be missing out on in Perth .. seeing as 90% of the people I know are going away for holiday >_<

Speaking of which ... IRC will be really quiet soon ! I wonder what I will fill my spare time with .. ;)

What did I do recently .... hrmm ... on Saturday night I ended up going clubbing !! Went to dinner with some friends, went to someone's house and drank .. then ... clubbing :D In the meantime ... my computer was sitting at the LAN ... oh well :p Got back there at about 6am, everyone was asleep ?? Grr ... so I just leeched some stuff from Pang and then went home. Sunday we had dinner at Little Creatures .. it was alrite, but the pizza was abit plain O_o Potato or something. The beer was quite nice though :) Then we watched some korean movie, 'Marrying the Mafia' or something .. typical of the korean gangster movies I've been seeing lately :)

Then .. yesterday on Monday, we all went for lunch, then went to garbo for shopping. Bum the rest of the day :p

And now going out for dinner tonite ! Packed schedule ... need to fit in some sleep somewhere O_o

Ray is crazy drinker! I don't think I can drink so much... anymore -_- But I guess that will need to temporarily change when on my 21st. At the beginning of next year. I feel so old... I am thinking maybe just go to Karaoke or something and drink away.

Or I could have a "multiplayer LAN and watch Star Trek until morning". (just kidding... but then again there is always some truth in every joke.........)

I got work today at Nautronix. A bit of a shakey start, due to some minor problems with the contract. But the guys there are really nice and it was all settled by the afternoon of the same day. I'm really looking forward to working there! This will be my first "real" software development job. I already know someone there, so I won't be a lonely new person either. :P

Wonder if I'll have time to write blogs and stuff. Full-time... I can't go out during the day anymore. Gotta be like a typical old person and only go out on Sat/Sundays or something. :(

Anyway, I'll figure out how to add a link to my homepage, and play around with blog thing a bit more before I go do other stuff. I got a new hard drive (Western Digital 80GB - WD80JB or something)! It's 10 times bigger than my current one... I can install big games (Wolfenstein and Never Winter Nights), without worrying about space anymore. -_- I'll move my old one to the FreeBSD box for holding more MP3's. :P Ray thinks it might be crappy drive, because he had same one except 120GB version, and it broke. Pretty badly as well I think... twice even?

I might just go the whole nerd-way and create a Logical Volume so that the four harddrives in the BSD box will become one big "virtual" one. Should be more than enough space for my music... I'm a bit worried though. All my hard drives are so old... one is going to break soon. -_- I better get some backups happening eventually.

Ok, first real post ...

What did I do today .. nothing much really. Last nite went to Metros for function, not bad ... alrite packed, but closed pretty early. Started drinking early and so might be a bit confused :p Bacardi 151 .. that stuff killed me x_X 75% is abit too much for a shot !!

Hmm, got home about 4:30 .. couldn't sleep until 5 >_< then woke up at 11 .. had lunch, bummed around until now basically :p So lazy !! Holidays mood hasn't really 'hit' me yet, I guess it will when everyone has gone away ;_;

More updates later if I get off my ass and do something interesting :P
